{New News}

§197 · September 1, 2010 · Ups n Downs · (No comments)

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all getting a little decrease in temp like we are, but I guess if Savannah is cooling off, safe to say everywhere else is. : )

First I’d like to give a HUGE thanks to Kay Elam for awarding me the honor of being in her “Circle of Friends.” It’s an award for a fab five of blogs. Kay also writes a wonderful blog with a fresh spin, and it’s very entertaining! Check it out at http://www.kayelam.com/blog/

In other news around the world, or just in my world, I have an unexpected release of a romantic suspense titled “Hallowed Eve” coming out this month! It will be in e-book format only, for now, so fire up those Kindles and Nooks! It’s set around Halloween (as I’m sure you could tell) and introduces us to a heroine whose past is filled with more monsters than the average teen movie. ; ) And I have to say, as far as leading men go, the one debuting in this book is a personal fav!

I hope you all have a great back-to-school and end of summer transition. I’m looking forward to cooler weather and decorating with spiders and vampires!

With love and murder in mind,

Suza

{Answer and News}

For starters, the answer to the code is…I love books, cats, and coffee! See, nothing you probably didn’t already know, but it’s a start. ; )

The news is that another of my books called Hallowed Eve will be released in e-book format in September! Yay! Considereing the theme, it’s sort of a seasonal book, so e-format is a good call. I’m really glad that by November I’ll have three books circulating, and all a bit different.

Hope you all check them out and give some feedback!

{Tick-Tock}

§189 · August 1, 2010 · Ups n Downs · 2 comments

Time is flying these days, and cliche or not, that’s what it feels like! I’ve been busy putting together my first blog tour and am adding the dates and blog links on my website, so be sure to keep an eye on it! Several of the reviewers will be giving away free copies of Whisper of a Witch.

I am utterly ecstatic with the good reviews the book is getting and sometimes forget that I have to stop cyber-surfing and..what was I supposed to be doing? Oh, yeah…write the next one! It’s a whirlwind, but I’m loving it. I’m trying to get up the nerve to venture out into the daylight for a book-signing tour.

Speaking of light, I actually got about 45 minutes of sun today. Maybe now they won’t be trying to recruit me for a bit part in True Blood.  Heh-heh.

The latest newsletter just came out, and it has a new name! If you haven’t signed up, you can do so on the website.

Hope you all have a great week!–Suza

{High Point}

I fully realize that the ride from here on out will be a roller coaster, but right now, I’m cresting that first hill and thrilled at the feeling in my belly!

I received my first review from Spellbound by Books, a paranormal book review site, and she gave Whisper of a Witch 4 out of 5 stars with the following comment:

 “This was a fantastic, engaging read. Beautifully done. ”

All I can say is, “Yippee!”

{How do you say “witch” in Hungarian?}

§184 · July 8, 2010 · Ups n Downs · (No comments)

First, let me say I’m sorry for those of you waiting on a book from Amazon. Evidently, everything closed down for the holidays,  and it’s out of my control. Hope they arrive soon!

I have been very pleased with sales so far, and every new one is as exciting as the first! I actually got a message today asking if my book was available in Hungary! I directed them to Amazon.com in the UK with the response that I honestly didn’t know how that would work.

Still, that’s pretty cool.  : )

I’ve lost a little time on some other have-to-get-done lists, but the second book of The Savannah Coven Series is well under way. (For those who have asked…and some already have!! Yay!)

Hope the post-holiday week finds you well and happy, and the newsletter will be out shortly. Guess I missed my chance for a 4th of July theme, huh? Maybe I can find a picture of a witch in a bikini. Hmmm…the possibilities.

I’ll be writing you!

Suza

{The Best Laid Plans}

§182 · July 1, 2010 · Cats, Ups n Downs · 2 comments

After months of waiting and planning, communicating with friends and colleagues, and plain old holding my breath…the time has arrived. I’ve got a book published and up for sale on the Word Wide Web! Whew.

Now what do I do? I have all these plans, some being implemented and others waiting their turn, but I still feel like I should be doing more. Every time I sit down at the computer I think, “What’s the best use of my time at this moment?” I tell you, I’m exhausting myself. I’m in a severe hurry-up-and-wait mode.

The book is selling, so that makes me happy..but still a little scared. Oh well.

In the realm of cat stories, the other night, cats kept magically appearing inside the house. They are only allowed in my office due, to my sweetheart’s allergies, yet every time we turned around, there was another one strutting through the place like they owned it. So this immediately tells me one thing.

There’s a hole somewhere.

After O’Malley sauntered in and jumped up to the couch for a settle-down in my lap, I went on a mission and found it. Open window in the bedroom. Not sure who was doing what when they left it open, but mystery solved. At least the cats had a good time for a while, and I’m sure they were also having a good laugh at the baffled humans.

Happy 4th of July to you all,

Suza

{July Release!}

§177 · June 23, 2010 · Did you know?, Ups n Downs · 2 comments

Wow, I can hardly believe I’m about to have my first book released. If you’d told me how long the road would be…nah…let’s not go there.   : )  In all seriousness, it was worth it.

The new website will be up on Friday with a link to order a pre-released, autographed copy of Whisper of a Witch, and it should be available on Amazon and other book sellers by mid-July.

Thanks to all of you for the support and patience!

In the “Did you know?” portion of tonight’s blog… Did you know there are a multitude of emoticons out there?  Here are a few for fun…

{The Big Day}

§170 · June 15, 2010 · Ups n Downs · 2 comments

Is almost here! Hence the reason I’ve been absent from the blogosphere for quite some time.

I completely understand why getting a book to press takes so long now. I used to think I would have to polish my book one good time. Ha! Twenty times is probably not enough. You think…I read that chapter over and over. How did I miss that extra word that doesn’t need to be there. Or that I was missing one entirely? I KNOW the difference between its and it’s. Why did I put that there?

Aaaagh!

But seeing the cover and then the finished product? Absolute chills and joy that sucks the breath right out of you. Wow. Still in a daze thinking about it!

I’m supposed to be taking a break to relax and paint the bedroom a nice sage green…but I can’t wait to get started on the next project.  ; )

Writing is my drug and the end results are the high!

With love, murder, and magic,

Suza

{Death of a Blog}

§166 · May 11, 2010 · Uncategorized, Ups n Downs · (No comments)

Okay, it might still have a pulse, but man has this blog been neglected.

I just haven’t had time for it, and what good is a blog if i don’t get any books out, right? I’ve been working like a fiend, and writing about some too, so that’s why I’ve been absent.

If you’re reading this…the book is almost here! Yay!

If you’re not…well…I don’t blame you. : )

Love and murder is on the way,

Suza
